Sarah Hyland To Reunite With Adam DeVine On 'Pitch Perfect' Series!

Sarah Hyland and Adam DeVine are reuniting on the upcoming Pitch Perfect series!

The former Modern Family actress was just announced to have joined the cast of the new show as a series regular, along with Jameela Jamil and Lera Abova.

They join previously announced Adam and Flula Borg, who reprise their movies roles Bumper Allen and Piëter Krämer, respectively.

In the upcoming series, several years after the Pitch Perfect movies, Bumper Allen moves to Germany to revive his music career when one of his songs becomes big in Berlin.

Sarah has been cast as Heidi, who is Piëter and Bumper’s cheery and slightly odd American assistant. While working on Bumper’s team by day, she secretly harbors dreams of being a singer-songwriter herself, and moonlights by performing original songs in a Berlin cabaret.

Jameela will portray Gisela, a bombastic and flashy up-and-coming German pop star, Gisela is Piëter’s ex-girlfriend and Bumper’s main rival the German Unity Day concert. She will stop at nothing to beat him to stardom.

Lera will be playing Piëter’s sister and a prominent Berlin DJ and music producer. She performs in clubs all over the city as DJ Das Boot. She is as cool as Berlin in December (4.1°C).

This reunites Sarah and Adam, who previously worked together on Modern Family. Adam had a recurring role as Andy Bailey, Phil Dunphy’s former real estate assistant and Sarah‘s character Haley’s ex-boyfriend. See photos of them on set kissing back in 2016!

Adam and Elizabeth Banks are both serving as executive producers on the upcoming Peacock series, which is set to debut on the streamer later this year. Production begins soon in Berlin, Germany.
