Deadline reports that Demi‘s role is going to be recast after they had to bow out “due to scheduling issues.” The hope is that a replacement will be found soon so the pilot can be filmed on schedule.

The show will be directed by Friends and Will & Grace director James Burrows. It “follows a group of friends who belong to a food-issues group helping one another as they look for love, success and the perfect thing in the fridge that’s going to make it all better.”

Cast members confirmed for the series are Valerie Bertinelli, Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias, Ryan McPartlin, Alex Brightman, and Ashley D. Kelley.
