Shane and Aimee Carrero both exited the college spinoff of The Boys last week after it’s been a long process of getting the show to fruition. Aimee left to star in another project on Prime Video.

It is significant to note that the character Shane was going to play has “undergone creative changes under new showrunners Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters, so this is not a straight recasting.”

The Boys spinoff is “as an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities. It’s part college show, part Hunger Games— with all the heart, satire, and raunch of The Boys.”

Chance previously took over the role of Landon in the After movies, after Shane announced his exit from the franchise in October 2020, just before the third film started filming.

Later this year, the fourth and final film, After Ever Happy, will be released. Watch a teaser!
