Kayla Compton to Direct Upcoming Episode in 'The Flash's Final Season

Kayla Compton is taking on directing duties on The Flash!

The 32-year-old actress who stars as Allegra Garcia on the CW series will be stepping behind the camera for one of the final episodes of the entire show.

She follows in the footsteps of one of her co-stars, Danielle Panabaker, who recently directed the final season’s ninth episode earlier this month.

Get more details inside…

“I’m directing in January. It’s gonna be, I think I can say this, It’s gonna be episode 11,” she dished during a recent appearance on The Wayne Ayers Podcast. “I’m pretty sure I can say that because everyone will know pretty soon.”

This season will be shorter and only consist of 13 episodes, so she really has one of the last episodes ever.

“We start filming at the end of January,” Kayla continued. “It’ll be the first time I direct, and I’m very excited.”

“Usually, it’s nine days [to film an episode], my episode will be eight days, so it’ll be like a little bit of a smaller episode. Usually that just means that we don’t go on location as much, so like it’ll be mostly shot on the stages we’re familiar with, like in the cortex, or the speed lab, those sort of things.”

She also teased that if she could describe the series finale in one or two words, she said, “Satisfying.”

On the podcast, she also opened up about when she found out the show would be ending, her favorite episodes to film and more.
