An Important Person has Thoughts About Sydney Sweeney's 'Barbarella' Role

Sydney Sweeney is set to step into big shoes when she stars as the titular character in a remake of the 1968 classic Barbarella.

The 25-year-old Euphoria actress will play a role once popularized by Jane Fonda. The legendary actress was asked about the remake during a recent interview and revealed what she was thinking.

Unfortunately, Jane doesn’t seem to have high hopes for the movie.

She explained to The Hollywood Reporter that she tries not to think about the remake. Why? “Because I worry about what it’s going to be,” she said.

Jane continued, explaining that she had an idea to revisit the film in the past and lead a remake that she described as “a truly feminist movie.” Unfortunately, the plan didn’t come to fruition.

Barbarella isn’t the only project Sydney Sweeney has in the works at the moment. Another recently announced project will see her sharing the screen with Glen Powell.
