Becky G Eyes Acting Return, In Talks to Star in New Series Based on a Telenovela

Becky G is looking to return to acting!

The 26-year-old singer and recent iHeartRadio Music Awards winner has been revealed to be in talks to star in a new television series for Peacock, according to Deadline.

Becky‘s potential new role is for the drama series Queen of Flow, an adaptation of the Colombian telenovela La Reina Del Flow. Will Smith‘s Westbrook Studios is set to produce with Universal Television.

The series is “a revenge tale/music drama about a young singer-songwriter named Yeimi (Becky G), who rises to fame in the music world and finds a star-crossed love with the superstar scion of a powerful family. But on her rise to the top, dark secrets are discovered about both Yeimi and the family she’s made her own that set them on a collision course towards a reckoning that could destroy them all.”

Queen of the South‘s Jorge Reyes is attached to write the script.

While her music career is flourishing, Becky G‘s past acting roles include the most recent Good Mourning with Machine Gun Kelly, plus Power Rangers, A-X-L, Empire, a starring voice role in Gnome Alone, and La estación de la Calle Olvera.
