Lidya Jewett is joining the cast of a potential new series titled JumpStart!
Just Jared Jr can exclusively reveal that the young actress has been cast in the comedy pilot for CBS, joining a cast that already includes Terry Crews and Ryan Michelle Bathé.

JumpStart is based a 1989 comic strip by Robb Armstrong and, according to Deadline, is “set in Philadelphia and follows Joseph L. Cobb (Crews), a cop, his wife Marcy (Bathé), a nurse, and Joe’s partner Crunchy. Joe and Marcy are young, hip, urban parents with old school values who are willing to sacrifice for their kids and have some laughs while doing it!”
Lidya will portray Sunny Cobb, one of the teen children, who, as her name implies, is a smart, witty 16-year-old and has the ability to light up a room.
Sunny believes that her environmental activism will save the planet, but first she has to stop her family from putting the wrong stuff in the recycling bin.
Wayne Conley wrote the TV adaptation and Phill Lewis is set to direct and executive produce the pilot!
Rob Corddry will also star as Joe’s partner Crunchy, who is also his best friend and an “uncle” to the Cobb children.
ICYMI: Earlier this year it was announced that Lidya will star in the next Exorcist movie, coming to theaters this October.
