Jennifer Stone Talks Rumored 'Wizards of Waverly Place' Spinoff with Selena Gomez

Jennifer Stone is revealing a possible Wizards of Waverly Place spinoff that we totally missed out on!

During Monday’s (June 19) new episode of Wizards of Waverly Pod with David DeLuise, the actress-turned-nurse was taking on fan questions, when one of them suggested there needed to be a Harper and Alex spinoff show.

“Now, I don’t know how true this is, but I was told that it was pitched to Selena [Gomez],” Jennifer revealed. “And I’ll have to ask her this. I’ve actually never asked her this, but I was told that it was pitched to Selena to do a Harper/Alex spinoff and she said no, ’cause she had a lot of other things going on.”

The spinoff would have taken place after the end of Wizards of Waverly Place.

“That’s what I was told. I don’t know how true that is. I don’t know if that really happened. I’m not sure if Selena even remembers that,” she continued.

When David commented that it seemed like they already had their own spinoff “when you went to your own apartment,” Jennifer replied, “I think they were setting up for that. That’s why somebody was like oh yeah, they thought about that and approached her before they like got into the process of it.

“Then, you know, like I said, she had, I get it, like a million other things going on and she wanted to move forward, and honestly, at the time, I wanted to move forward too, so it just didn’t make sense.”

“Looking back, it would have been great, but the thing is is like, where we both were at that time, we just wanted to explore other things,” she added. “But they were, from what I was told, trying to set up for the potential of that.”
