Tom Holland Admits He's Apprehensive About Returning to Spider-Man

Tom Holland is opening up about reprising his role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man again.

The 27-year-old has led his own trilogy and is headed towards another possible trilogy of films as the web-slinging hero.

In a recent interview with THR, Tom dished on having a recent meeting with producers, his apprehension to returning and more.

See what he said inside…

“It was myself, Amy [Pascal], [Marvel Studios president] Kevin Feige, [executive producer] Rachel [O’Connor], sometimes other executives from Marvel will sit in,” the actor shared of a recent meeting before the writer’s strike. “It’s a collaborative process. The first few meetings were about, ‘Why would we do this again?’ And I think we found the reason why. I’m really, really happy with where we’re at in terms of the creative.

“But I’m also a little apprehensive about it,” he added. “There’s a bit of a stigma about the fourth one in all franchises. I feel like we hit a home run with our first franchise and there’s a part of me that wants to walk away with my head held high and pass the baton to the next lucky kid that gets to bring this character to life.”

The last comment doesn’t come as a surprise, as Tom has similarly said the same thing around the time that No Way Home was released.

Earlier this year, Kevin Feige confirmed they had a story for Tom‘s next installment as Spidey, but didn’t divulge much else.

In case you missed it, there are currently four different Spider-People movies in the works with Sony, who owns the film rights to the Marvel hero.
