Disney+: Find Out Every Series Canceled, Renewed Or Announced to Be Ending in 2023 So Far

The Spiderwick Chronicles – CANCELED BEFORE RELEASE

While the show had not even made it to air, the new series adaptation of The Spiderwick Chronicles was canceled as Disney decided not to move forward, it was announced in August.

It was to be “a contemporary American gothic coming-of-age story that addresses kids and families dealing with mental health issues among other relevant topics. Upon leaving New York and moving to Michigan and into their run-down ancestral home—The Spiderwick Estate—with their mother, twin brothers Jared and Simon Grace, along with their sister Mallory, find themselves pulled into an alternate, fantastical world.”

Lyon Daniels, Noah Cottrell, Joy Bryant, Christian Slater, Jack Dylan Grazer and Mychala Lee were all cast in the series.

The eight-episode series has already been filmed and is reportedly being shopped to other studios.
