Nathan Kress Reacts to 'iCarly' Cancelation: 'No One Wanted This to End on a Cliffhanger'
Nathan Kress is reacting to the surprising cancelation of the iCarly revival.
If you missed it, it was revealed on Wednesday morning (October 4) that the Paramount+ series will not be getting a fourth season.
After the news came out, Nathan, who of course starred as Freddie Benson and has directed a handful of episodes, took to Twitter/X to share his thoughts on the cancelation.
Find out what he said inside…
“Thank you all for your kindness, love, and undying support for these past 3 seasons. I’m so grateful that we were given an opportunity to bring you this story… and I especially want to thank our amazing crew, writers, and my castmates for the greatest workplace and creative environment I could ask for. I’m so proud of what we accomplished together,” he wrote.
“Freddie is forever in my heart, and I’m honored that I was able to put that mantle back on, even for just a few more years,” he continued. “Obviously this stings a bit.. we had a lot of story left to tell, and we were excited to give you guys the ending you deserved. No one wanted this to end on a cliffhanger.”
Nathan concluded with, “Maybe somehow, someday, we’ll find out how to story ends. Much love, friends. 💙”
If you missed it, that major cliffhanger had to do with Freddie and Carly possibly about to get married when her long lost mom walks in. Find out more here!
In more positive news, Nathan and his wife London welcomed their third child over the summer.
