OlderGlee's Amber Riley Teases Her Version of Ursula for New 'Ariel' Series
Amber Riley is gearing up for an exciting new gig, and she wants everyone to know what’s in store!
The 37-year-old Glee alum is set to bring Ursula to life in a new Disney Junior show called Ariel, which stars Raven’s Home actress Mykal-Michelle Harris as the titular mermaid.
The news was announced during the SAG-AFTRA strike, which meant that the cast wasn’t able to react at the time.
A few months later, Amber took to social media to tease her character and reflect on the job.

“I never got to announce this because of the strike! I am so excited to be playing ‘Ursula’ in @disneyjunior’s Ariel,” she gushed on Instagram. “I’ve had such an amazing time recording and voicing this character, and I know all the kiddos are gonna absolutely love these stories. Isn’t she just the cutest?!?! Obsessed”
Amber paired the news with an illustration of her character. This version of Ursula has a very cool hairstyle wears a purple top, which seamlessly blends into her tentacles.
