The week before, the track tied with Aladdin‘s “A Whole New World” in being the only songs to reach the No 1 spot on the chart, since the chart’s inception in 1958.

Billboard reports that “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” drew in 37.6 million U.S. streams, 3.6 million radio airplay audience impressions and 13,600 downloads sold in the Jan. 28-Feb. 3 week.

This also sets a record for the most credited recording artists ever on a Hot 100 No. 1 song, with Carolina Gaitán, Mauro Castillo, Adassa, Rhenzy Feliz, Diane Guerrero, Stephanie Beatriz and the Encanto cast all being credited on the track.

The track is just continuing on an upward projectory of making history, after also launching into the No 1 spot on the Billboard Global 200 chart this last week.

The week before, “Bruno” became the first Hot 100 No. 1 released on Walt Disney Records and the first No 1 for songwriter Lin-Manuel Miranda.

The Encanto soundtrack has also logged it’s fourth week at the top of the Billboard 200 albums chart. This is it’s third week in a row in that spot, with an additional 113k units sold.

Encanto and “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” are the first soundtrack and song from said soundtrack to be in the No 1 spots on both charts simultaneously for multiple weeks in over 19 years.

The last time this happened was for 8 Mile and Eminem‘s “Lose Yourself.”

In addition, Carlos Vives’ “Colombia, Mi Encanto” has debuted in the Hot 100 at No 100, marking the eighth song from the Encanto soundtrack to break onto the chart!
