Ross Miner shows off his jumping skills in this new shot from the USOC portrait shoot.
The 22-year-old hopeful Olympian skater recently joined his Team USA teammates Jeremy Abbott and Max Aaron for a lifestyle shoot for the upcoming NBC Olympic coverage.
“Coolest set of the day! This bad boy did everything. Fog, snow, a surface to skate on… Bad ass!” Jeremy, 27, tweeted with a behind-the-scenes look at the shoot.
Mark your calenders for the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics — they’re happening from February 7th to the 23rd.

Sarah Hendrickson is all smiles for the USOC portrait shoot which happened just last week in Los Angeles.
The 18-year-old ski-jumper, who stands as the world champion, was just recently honored with the “Olympian of the Year” honor at the Governor’s State of Sport Awards in Utah.
The Governor’s State of Sport Awards honor individuals and groups that have made significant contributions to sport in Utah in 2012.
“Long day shooting for USOC in Cali today but so awesome to meet some of the Olympic hopefuls! Chilling out in Beverly Hills tomorrow :)” Sarah wrote after the shoot.
Can’t wait to watch her at the Olympics!

The two hopeful Olympians joined teammates Gracie Gold and Christina Gao for the shoot earlier last week.
Ashley, 21, just recently made the announcement that she’s parting ways with her choreographer, Phillip Mills.
“To my surprise it looks like this info is already out there but I would like to announce that Phillip Mills and I r ending our relationship,” she wrote on Twitter. “He is an incredible and talented choreographer to work with and I wish him nothing but the best in the future! To answer everyone’s question, I simply wanted to try out a new choreographer and help my skating grow! :)”
Ashley is also seeking a coach to travel with her on the road, as her current coach John Nicks isn’t going to be traveling any more.

Gracie Gold and Christina Gao pose for the camera in these new Road To Sochi Olympic portraits.
The two figure skaters are preparing for the road to the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, which are just 10 months away.
“Had an amazing time at the NBC pre Olympic promo shoot!! @nbcolympics usolympic #roadtosochi,” Christina, 19, tweeted after a promo shoot in Los Angeles.
JJJ Fun Fact: Christina is also a full-time freshman at Harvard!
“Doing both [skating and school] complements each other,” Christina shared with USA Today. “My body may be tired, but I’m not mentally tired, because I love skating. I love going to school here. When you’re doing something you love, it’s not work.”

Ashley Wagner and Gracie Gold show off their moves in the Ladies Free Skate during the 2013 ISU World Figure Skating Championships held at Budweiser Gardens on Saturday night (March 16) in London, Ontario, Canada.
The 21- and 17-year-old skaters placed 5th and 6th, respectively, which earned Team USA three spots on the Olympic team.
“I always said my main goal coming into this Worlds was getting the three spots back,” Ashley recently shared.
She added, “Getting on top of the podium or on the podium would be icing on the cake. For us, what we accomplished, with this strong international field, is more than standing on top of that podium. It’s something we haven’t been able to do for, what, five seasons now?”

Meryl Davis and Charlie White are all smiles after claiming gold in the Ice Dance Free Dance Program during the 2013 ISU World Figure Skating Championships held at Budweiser Gardens on Saturday night (March 16) in London, Ontario, Canada.
The Team USA ice dancers, 26 and 25, finished 4.52 points ahead of friends/rivals Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir from Canada.
“At the end of our programs if Charlie and I don’t feel mentally, physically, and emotionally exhausted, we’re not doing our jobs correctly,” Meryl shared with press afterwards.
With the combination of their first place, Madison Chock and Evan Bates‘s 7th and siblings Maia and Alex Shibutani‘s 8th — they earned three spots for the US Ice Dancing Olympic Figure Skating Team. Woohoo!

Meagan Duhamel and Eric Radford of Team Canada stand proud with their bronze medals during the 2013 ISU World Figure Skating Championships held at Budweiser Gardens on Friday evening (March 15) in London, Ontario, Canada.
The two claimed the third spot after Russia’s Tatiana Volosozhar and Maxim Trankov and Germany’s Aliona Savchenko and Robin Szolkowy.
Team USA’s Marissa Castelli and Simon Shnapir and Alexa Scimeca and Chris Knierim are also heading to Sochi next year.
Both teams needed to finish with a combined placement of 28 to secure two Olympic spots. Alexa and Chris placed ninth and Marissa and Simon nabbed the 13th spot.
