She was joined by her co-stars Rusty Schwimmer, JaShaun St. John, and director, writer, and producer Ani Simon-Kennedy.
“@shorthistorylongroad just premiered today at @tribeca ☁️,” Sabrina wrote on Instagram. “This film will always hold a very special place in my heart. if you see it this weekend, i hope u love it x.”
On her character, Nola, Sabrina told ET, “She’s a girl trying to survive … [she is someone who has been] raised by her father in a van her whole life, so she doesn’t know how to wear makeup, she doesn’t know how to shave. She doesn’t do all the stuff that a normal 19-year-old girl would do.”
Sabrina had to dye her hair, wear no makeup, and rock second-hand clothing items for the role. “I just felt like a different person,” Sabrina shared. “I think I was able to really find Nola through that physical transformation.”
Sabrina added that she wants audiences to watch the movie and “not see me as Sabrina and see someone completely different. I’ve been waiting to do something like this for so long.”
FYI: Sabrina is wearing Salvatore Ferragamo.
