The Nickelodeon comedy series, starring Alaya “That Girl Lay Lay” High, is about to drop it’s first episodes on Netflix.
The show follows Lay Lay, an avatar from a phone app, and Sadie, a girl who is struggling to make her mark in school and in need of a best friend to talk to. After Sadie wishes upon a star that her hype-girl avatar Lay Lay was real, she magically comes to life, and the two friends learn that when they are together, they can accomplish anything.

Alaya “That Girl Lay Lay” High and Dylan “Young Dylan” Gilmer are releasing a new single together – “I’m That“!
The Nickelodeon stars and young rappers worked with Jermaine Dupri, who produced the track and is also featured on the song.
Though the song won’t be out on all streaming platforms until Friday (October 8), the music video will be debuting TONIGHT (October 7) during an all new episode of That Girl Lay Lay, and we have an exclusive sneak peek right here!

That Girl Lay Lay is premiering TONIGHT (September 23)!
The half-hour comedy is the latest to join the lineup on Nickelodeon, and stars viral rapper Alaya “That Girl Lay Lay” High.
In the show, phone avatar Lay Lay is the perfect hype girl and best friend that anyone could ever want from their personal affirmation app. Struggling to make her mark at school and needing a best friend to talk to, Sadie wishes upon a star that Lay Lay was real and could help teach her how to stand out. When her wish comes true and Lay Lay is magically brought to life, the two friends learn that when they are together, they can accomplish anything.
That Girl Lay Lay premieres TONIGHT (September 23) at 7:30pm ET/PT on Nickelodeon.

The 14-year-old rapper and upcoming Nickelodeon actress was in the news this week after posting on Instagram about Kim Kardashian asking her to take down a video with North West.
“@kimkardashian texted me to take down the new TikTok video with North in it. I don’t know why… They invited ME to their house. This industry SUCKS! I asked what did I do wrong and they didn’t answer me. So confused on what this industry is… just trying to make good positive music,” she shared in a post that was then taken down shortly after.
