Zoey Deutch is joining the cast of the upcoming Netflix series The Politician, which will also star Ben Platt!
Also added to the cast is Laura Dreyfuss, who just wrapped up her run in Dear Evan Hansen on Broadway. She worked with Ben on the musical for years.
The Politician is the new series from Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, best known for creating Glee, American Horror Story, and more.
This is Zoey‘s second project for Netflix after her hit rom-com Set It Up was released last month.
Production on the series begins in late summer, according to THR.

The 29-year-old former Vampire Diaries star will co-star in the political drama Run This Town, with Disney’s live-action Aladdin star Mena Massoud and Dear Evan Hansen star Ben Platt, Deadline reports. Homeland‘s Damian Lewis will also star.
Run This Town “follows a young journalist (Platt), desperate to prove himself, who catches wind of a scandal involving a flashy, unpredictable politician with no filter. Political aides (Massoud and Dobrev) attempt to keep their boss in check – and the story under wraps – in order to save their jobs.”

The 23-year-old actress hit the red carpet at the premiere at the ArcLight cinema on Tuesday night (March 13) in Hollywood.
Zoey was joined by pals like Debby Ryan, Aly Michalka, Ben Platt, and Odessa Young.
Zoey will be attending some screenings in Los Angeles this weekend to do Q&As with the audiences, so make sure to buy your tickets now!

Miley Cyrus is all smiles as she signs a guitar and microphone on Thursday afternoon (January 25) at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
The 25-year-old musician was also joined at the signing by Broadway star Ben Platt – who will be auctioning off an autographed Dear Evan Hansen cd.

Miley and Ben are just a few of the many celebrities that will be auctioning off instruments, tickets, and lessons to benefit the 2018 Grammy Awards.
All proceeds will benefit the Grammy Museum and the MusiCares program.
The auction will run on eBay.com through February 9.

The 24-year-old Riverdale actor was at the event as a presenter and also to support his older brother Corey Cott, who performed alongside Laura Osnes and the cast of Bandstand.
Other guys in attendance at the show included former Glee stars Darren Criss and Jonathan Groff.
Ben Platt was one of the big winners of the night, taking home the award for Best Leading Actor in a Musical for his work in Dear Evan Hansen, which also won Best Musical and several other awards.
