Much like the animated series, the theme song for Kim Possible is also getting a reboot.
Sadie Stanley, who plays the title character in the upcoming movie, shows off her vocals for the updated theme song.
The new version still has the same lyrics and chorus, but with a modern twist.
“The new production of ‘Call Me, Beep Me’ is a modern dance pop arrangement created for our star, Sadie Stanley,” Steven Vincent, vice president of music and soundtracks at Disney Channel shared about the track. “We kept the integrity of the original song but make it sound like it was written today.”
In the new clip for the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie, star Sadie Stanley is in a rush to make her bus to school, but needs to save a baby stroller that rolls down the street first.
While there’s no synopsis just yet, we’ll get to see the origin of Kim’s crime-fighting story and her take on Drakken and She-Go in the upcoming DCOM.
The upcoming movie comes 16 years after the popular high school hero made her debut on the network, becoming a global hit and then going on to have two successful movies.
The actress, who voiced the title character for four seasons from 2002-2007, made the announcement during D23’s Saturday Morning on the Lot event at the Walt Disney
Studios on Saturday (August 11).
Additionally, Patton Oswalt, who voiced Professor Dementor in the original series, will reprise his role in the remake!
We’re so excited for the upcoming Kim Possible movie starring Sadie Stanley as a live-action Kim and this first look photo is getting us so pumped!
The movie won’t be released until next year, but this photo was revealed during 2018 Comic-Con.
Kim Possible is based on the global-hit animated series about an everyday high school girl who, in her spare time, saves the world from villains.
Sean Giambrone will be playing Kim Possible’s loyal best friend Ron Stoppable and Alyson Hannigan is playing brain surgeon Dr. Ann Possible (AKA Mom Possible).
The Raven’s Home actor will play the teen computer genius and ace inventor Wade, Kim and Ron’s communications guru whose advanced surveillance skills and high-tech inventions help them stay a step ahead of their villainous foes.
The live action Kim Possible will center on the title heroine, an everyday teen who traverses the social hierarchy of high school and, with her loyal best friend Ron Stoppable and his naked mole-rat Rufus by her side, save the world from power-hungry villains Drakken and Shego, among others.
