Jimmy Liu, Sydney Taylor and Ben Wang snap a group photo while attending the premiere of their upcoming Disney+ series American Born Chinese held at Radio City Music Hall on Sunday (May 7) in New York City.
The young stars of the show were joined by their older cast mates Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan (with wife Echo), Chin Han, Yeo Yann Yann, Daniel Wu and Leonard Wu, as well as writer Gene Luen Yang, who’s graphic novel the series is based off of.
Also in attendance was Alex Aiono, who showed support for Melvin Mar, who executive producers his show Doogie Kamealoha, MD and American Born Chinese, and Alexa Swinton, with her sister Ava and mom Inna.
American Born Chinese chronicles the trials and tribulations of a regular American teenager whose life is forever changed when he befriends the son of a mythological god. This is the story of a young man’s battle for his own identity, told through family, comedy, and action-packed Kung-Fu.
