Luna Blaise goes for a black and white theme in her new “Over You” music video.
The Fresh Off The Boat actress and singer just dropped the new video, after meeting a ton of her fans at Buffalo Wild Wings in New York City this week.
“I decided to shoot the music video for ‘Over You’ as a straight up performance in black-and-white,” Luna told JJJ about the video concept.
“My goal with the music video was to connect with the audience with zero distractions and I felt the best way to achieve this was in black-and-white – allowing people to see the real me,” she added.
Luna Blaise has officially dropped her debut single and you’re going to fall in love with it!
The Fresh Off The Boat actress spoke to JJJ exclusively about the track and getting into the music industry.
“My decision to make music came very organically,’ she tells us. “I come from a very musical family, my mom is a singer, my big brother raps, plays guitar, piano and drums. My dad plays guitar as well, so music has always been a huge part of my upbringing.”
“In the summer of 2016, I was asked to audition for a musical so I put myself on tape. When my managers and agents found out I could sing they suggested I record a cover,” Luna recalls of her first push. “I went into the studio and ended up writing a song. That day I fell in love with the process of writing and recording. It was that simple. I have written 5 songs now.”
Luna added about the single itself: “I wrote ‘Over You’ about a first love and never getting over them. Basically loving them forever no matter what they may go through and never losing that butterfly feeling. My friends and I always talk about our crushes and boys we like. The song isn’t about a single experience it was inspired by all of our ‘First Love’ stories.”
So, would she leave acting for music? “I love acting, singing and performing. I plan on continuing doing both, like Justin Timberlake and Hailee Steinfeld.”

Chandler Kinney, star of Fox’s Lethal Weapon, penned this guest blog for JJJ about hosting a benefit toy wrapping party at Los Angeles Ballet Academy on Sunday (December 18) in Encino, Calif.
She recently started “Chandler’s Friends,” an organization that sends blankets to children in need. Check out her blog here:
About two years ago, my mom and I were inspired to help improve our society and give back to the community. Thus, we created an organization. At the time, we were not entirely sure about our plans, but we did know that we wanted to help those in need in any way we were capable. It’s always such a nice feeling to know that someone cares for and values you, as a friend does. This idea was the inspiration for the name of my organization, Chandler’s Friends.
We started small. Making hand-made blankets and sending them to foster children was our first accomplishment. We received pictures of each child holding the blankets, radiating joy. It was beautiful and heart-warming. In that moment, I realized how big of an effect a small act of kindness can produce!
