The cute couple, who recently welcomed their first child, Shai, will face off against each other.
“I want to get my body back,” Peta told Us Weekly about why she wanted to return. “And I want to defend my title. I won two seasons ago and never got to come back.”
(If you remember, Peta won season 22 with partner Nyle DiMarco.)
Maks added, “I just want to support her and at the same time, maybe have some healthy competition in the family.”
The Dancing With The Stars pro dancers showed off their newborn son early this morning on Good Morning America, following it up with his first official photo on Peta‘s Fam & Glam website.
“This past month and a half we’ve tried to keep Shai to ourselves, like our little secret that only we get to enjoy – but babies aren’t secrets and keeping him hidden away forever isn’t realistic of healthy,” Peta writes.
She added later on, “We’re finally ready to share Shai with the world.”
The Dancing With The Stars couple sat front row at the VALENTINNICOLE fashion show held during New York Fashion Week at Lovage.
The line is from Maks‘ brother, Val, who was in Dallas and couldn’t get back because of the blizzard.

Peta Murgatroyd became a new mom just two weeks ago — and now she’s getting real about having a post-pregnancy body.
“Real life: I took this photo 8 days post birth. I left the hospital looking 5 months pregnant,” the two-time Dancing With The Stars champ wrote on her Instagram, after welcoming new sonShai with fiance Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
She adds, “Many people think a woman should shrink right back to her pre-birth weight immediately. That is just not the truth for most.
“The female body is incredible and resilient, but healing and strengthening take time. Now it’s time for patience and hard work. Lots of love to all the new mamas out there on the journey.”
The former Dancing With The Stars champ, who won with Peta in Season 22, shared a brand new video on YouTube with a ton of simple and easy signs that both Peta and Maks could learn and share with their new baby boy, Shai Aleksander.
“First off, congratulations on becoming a mother!” Nyle signs in his new video. “Your baby is so fortunate to have you and Maks.”
He adds, “I love that I knew that your baby was also dancing in your tummy when the two of us were dancing to our final freestyle.”
