Selena Gomez is still the queen of Instagram, having the most followers of anyone in the world. But Beyoncé just squashed the record for most likes on an Instagram post, which was previously held by Selena.
Beyoncé‘s announcement on Wednesday (February 1) that she is pregnant with twins immediately went viral, racking up over 8 million likes in 24 hours, instantly making her the record holder for the most liked post.
As of right now, the post has over 9.2 million likes, and is still going.
The Swedish popstar, who brought us the addicting megahits “Never Forget You” and “I Would Like”, explained to the mag why she obsesses over the Queen B.
“I think I saw her, the first time, on the cover of her Dangerously In Love album in the glittery top, and my first thought was, ‘Who is that model?’” Zara shares. “I thought she was so beautiful and I didn’t even know she was a singer. Then I bought that album and I bought B’Day. And she had a lot of videos on B’Day, so I would just watch that on my DVD player on repeat.”
She adds, “She’s very smart and clever and she seems so humble and sweet and hard working and that is really an inspiration to me. She is giving it her all she’s got the whole package.”
The songs in Zara‘s Beyonce medley are “Six Inch,” “Sorry,” “Diva” and “Kitty Kat”.
