Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart have just made our weekend — by sharing new stunning shots on Instagram.
The new pics have Lili wearing a dark black dress in a field of yellow flowers — just like THAT one other pic, which had fans flipping out and hoping that the two were dating in real life, like their Riverdale counterparts.
“Thank you for indulging me,” Lili captioned the shot that she posted to her account, while Cole‘s read like a dark, short story.
See both of the new pics below!
Right now, Bughead is the couple to love on Riverdale – and stars Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse know it.
The two actors opened up about just why fans love the two together.
“I think because it’s a little bit unexpected in a way, you know, because Jughead is kinda doing his own thing in the comics, so to see him relate to a girl is — you know, people are excited about that,” Lili says.
Cole adds, “This is something that was kind of uncharted territory, and we didn’t really know if it was gonna take. But it did, and people really love it. It got a huge response.”
He later opens on just why the two work so well together: “I think both of them have a great appreciation and nostalgia and fondness for a more pure, more better version of Riverdale . . . a more wholesome version of Riverdale.”
“So I think that yearning to sort of prove that it can still be a place that is good and not some sort of place of darkness is what drove them both to really, truly see it take that iteration once again: a more childlike, a more beautiful, flowery kind of iteration. And I think that similar passion is also the thing that sort of brought them close at the end of the day, and I think there’s truth in that.”
We love Bughead!
Cole Sprouse‘ Twitter feed is exquisite, and if you’re not following the Riverdale actor’s thoughts on Coachella, fame, or memes, quite frankly, you’re missing out.
President Donald Trump tweeted Monday (August 17) that “the Fake Media (not Real Media) has gotten even worse since the election,” and: “Every story is badly slanted. We have to hold them to the truth!”
Cole had a funny response to the tweets.
“How many RTs for you to go to prom with me???” he asked the President, with what we can only assume is utmost seriousness (just kidding.)
Naturally, Twitter lost it. The response has over 32,000 retweets and 93,000 likes.

Cole Sprouse‘ Twitter feed sets him apart from most celebrities, namely because it’s so, so objectively funny. (Yes, we stand by that use of “objectively.”) Still, he often uses his voice and platform to address serious topics as well, and he did so today on Coachella.
“Your Coachella outfit is appropriating 100% of a Native American headdress for someone who claims to be 2% Choctaw,” he tweeted, in a hilarious yet completely warranted tweet.
Many celebrities (and non-celebrities) take the spirit of Coachella a bit too far by donning headdresses, painting stripes on their faces, and doing more culturally insensitive and appropriating behaviors.
It’s good that many celebs are becoming more aware of the harm they might cause by appropriating other culturest.
It’s also good (for all of us) that we have Cole‘s Twitter feed.
We are cracking up over these “Daddy Wars” between the Riverdale cast.
“Ha! I started that actually,” KJ recently explained TooFab.com. “It started as a personal joke between Camila [Mendes] and I because all of the girls on the show are obsessed with older men, ‘Daddies.’ And I realized you can only be a ‘Daddy’ once you’re like 26, have a beard and kinda rugged and I’m literally not that so I’m trying to earn it from the girls and gain that title since the new goal in life is to be called ‘Daddy.’”
Cole Sprouse created a poll, writing, “The daddy wars must be won. Let’s settle this: who is Daddy? the All Daddy, Arch daddy of Riverdale? Who, world, is the most daddy?”
KJ caught wind and tweeted, “Please guys…Are u kidding? Guys u gotta vote for me I’ll be so gutted if I lose…I voted for myself”
“The fans have swung my vote. @lilireinhart all the way. Sorry @colesprouse @kj_apa @CaseyCott,” Ross Butler added.
It’s safe to say Riverdale has one of the hottest casts on television right now.
The CW just released brand new promo photos of KJ Apa, Cole Sprouse, Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes, Casey Cott, Madelaine Petsch, Ashleigh Murray, Marisol Nichols, Luke Perry, and Mädchen Amick, who all posed for new shots.
In case you didn’t know, this cast is really close and great friends in real life.
In fact, a bunch of them hit up the 2017 Coachella Music Festival together this weekend!

Cole Sprouse has feelings about his brother Dylan Sprouse watching his show, Riverdale, and here’s why:
The 24-year-old twins — who famously stepped away from the spotlight after their run on Disney Channel’s The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and The Suite Life on Deck, which ended in 2011 — are incredibly close and supportive of each other.
But, as Cole explains to Elle.com, that doesn’t mean they watch each other’s programs.
“He supports the show…. I don’t know if he enjoys it,” Cole expresses. “This kind of programming has never really been our flavor of choice. I don’t really want him to watch anything I do and I don’t really watch anything he’ll do.”
That may seem odd, but it sounds like more than anything, Cole is a bit shy about his work.
“I don’t really have an easy time watching myself, so I guess I sort of imprint that upon my friends and family,” he says.
Cole Sprouse may play Jughead Jones, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he roots for Jughead and Betty (Lili Reinhart).
In fact, he is really shipping another couple these days.
“I actually really ship Betty and Archie (KJ Apa),” Cole told Elle.com. “When I would read the Archie comics when I was younger I was rooting for Betty and Archie way over any alternative. [I think I would have seen] that long-lived, childlike romance from two people knowing each other since youth as probably quite romantic. I am a sucker for that childhood romance narrative.”
Cole added, “I know our fans take very specific camps with who they ship and who they want and all those camps are at huge war with one another. Riverdale is about to ignite into flames considering how the camps are at war with each other. I try not to involve myself too much.”
