In the issue, Cole discusses the “horrifying social anxiety” he developed from being “raised in a sound stage,” giving him trouble communicating with his peers sometimes.

“I don’t have to deal with anxiety as much as I used to,” he told the mag. “It’s the scariest thing, but you have to look it right in the eye and understand it’s not going anywhere. Once I found a confidence in myself and how I interacted with the world around me, all of a sudden, people weren’t criticizing me the way they used to when I was consistently thinking about it.”

Watch a behind-the-scenes video from Cole‘s shoot below! The magazine is now available at ASOS.com.

So, THIS is what it takes to get Cole Sprouse‘s attention on social media!

The Riverdale star jokingly shared a few “requirements” of what it takes to get his attention on Twitter, and even through DMs over the weekend.

“If you don’t jam to Dave Matthews, wear boat shoes, and aren’t holding a fish in your profile pic- don’t even TRY to slide into a dm,” Cole tweeted.

And before you ask yourself just who could fit that description, look no further than his co-star Casey Cott, who replied to Cole‘s tweet with him holding a fish!

“‘She wakes up in the morning’,” Casey replied to him.

'Riverdale' Creator Spills on Jughead's Role in 'Carrie' Musical

'Riverdale' Creator Spills on Jughead's Role in 'Carrie' Musical

Don’t expect Jughead to be singing in the upcoming Carrie: The Musical episode of Riverdale!

Creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa is spilling on choosing Carrie for Riverdale High’s theater performance.

“On some level Riverdale is a crime and mystery and a pulp show,” Roberto told IndieWire. “There is still an element of coming-of-age and high school obviously. Doing the school musical is such a rite of passage that we wanted to do that. The question that the studio network had was, ‘Okay, but if you’re going to do that, it’s gotta still be a very Riverdale take on the musical.’”

“I’m a huge fanatic of ‘Carrie’ the novel and then the movie,” Roberto continued. “I was obsessed with the Broadway flop of Carrie: The Musical. Probably five or six years ago, one of my good friends revived it Off-Broadway. He revealed it to be the real gem that I always knew it was, so we kind of thought, ‘Oh, this would be a thematically a great musical for Riverdale to do,’ partly because that show also has archetypes like the good girl next door, the nice boy who takes Carrie to the prom. It felt like oh we could play with these archetypes.”

Kevin Keller (Casey Cott) will direct the musical with Cheryl Blossom (Madeleine Petsch) in the starring role.

Cole and I talked about it a while ago and I said, ‘How do you feel about musicals and stuff?’” Roberto shared. “He basically said, ‘Listen, I never sang for Disney. It would take a lot.’ But the truth is, when we really thought about the character of Jughead, he felt like the one character who probably wouldn’t exactly be in the school musical. However, when you see the episode, he’s very much an integral part of it and he’s doing something that we think is quintessentially Jughead during the musical. Except he doesn’t sing.”

Jughead’s non-singing role is listed as “The Beak,” which is not a character in any of the Carrie versions so far.

The Riverdale musical episode will air on April 18 on The CW!

If you’ve ever read the Archie comics, you know that Veronica and Jughead just do not get along.

It’s always been that way and now, the storyline is headed to Riverdale and Cole Sprouse could not be more excited about it.

In the latest episode, we saw that Jughead and Veronica (Camila Mendes) are butting heads a lot, which is perfect to Cole.

“Jughead and Veronica in the digests and in the comics were always at odds. We’re definitely picking on some of the motifs that have been around Archie comics forever,” he told TVGuide.

Cole adds, previewing their relationship going forward: “[Jughead's war] is going to complicate his relationship with Veronica very much, which is enjoyable to me.”

Cole Sprouse Says Bughead 'Work Together Best' on 'Riverdale'

Cole Sprouse Says Bughead 'Work Together Best' on 'Riverdale'

We all know that Bughead is meant to be together on Riverdale — and Cole Sprouse is definitely in agreement right now.

Speaking with TVGuide, the 25-year-old actor who plays Jughead Jones, revealed that Bughead are definitely better together than apart.

“I don’t think there’s been a formal declaration in words as to whether they are reunited, but they’re certainly acknowledging the fact that they can’t stay away from each other,” Cole shared.

And it’s what they’re going through that’s bringing back together: “They are, funny enough, both dealing with very similar issues that they tried to tackle independently and there’s an acknowledgement that when they work together, they work best.”

And it’s only going to get better: “I think these next two episodes are really establishing that they need each other’s assistance.”

Riverdale airs Wednesdays on The CW.

Lili Reinhart Says Cole Sprouse Brings the 'Riverdale' Cast Down To Earth

Most of the Riverdale cast is all still pretty new to all of this fame stuff — except Cole Sprouse.

In her new cover story with Ocean Drive magazine, Lili Reinhart opens up about how Cole keeps all of them grounded as they become household names.

“He really brings us down to earth if we’re feeling like something we’ve said is being taken out of context,” she shared.

Lili adds, “He’s always the one to be like, ‘Just ignore it. It will blow over.’ It’s a nice, calming energy he has because you know that he’s been through it.”

She also opened up about last year’s Comic-Con experience, too.

“Going to Comic-Con was mind-blowing, seeing all these fans and all these people who know my name. I’m like, ‘Are you sure you know who I am?’” Lili recalls. “I still don’t even really believe it quite yet.”

We can’t wait til this year!
