Selena Gomez & Francia Raisa's Moms Both Speak Out About Their Kidney Transplant

Last week, Selena Gomez and Francia Raisa made headlines around the world after it was revealed that Francia donated her kidney to Selena.

Now, both of their moms, Mandy Teefey and Virginia Almendarez, are speaking out about how proud they are of their daughters and how this changed everything.

Speaking with Al Rojo Vivo, Virginia shared that, “They’ve been friends for many years. They’re like sisters. I love her (Selena) a lot, too. She loves me a lot. She says I’m her mom. I’m very proud of both of them.”

Some rumors swirling around online were that Francia did it for the money, but that’s hardly the case at all. She did it for friendship.

“Not even a single penny,” Francia’s mom says. “Some people are treating this as if there was money involved…Francia did it for friendship, for her love for Selena, and because they care a lot for each other. She didn’t receive any benefit from this, only the benefit of Selena having a better life.”

“Six years ago Disney and ABC Family had the stars of their shows go to the Children’s Hospital. Selena and I were in the same group and we just clicked,” she shared.

Jordin Sparks Tries Out Cryotherapy After Running LA Marathon

Jordin Sparks Tries Out Cryotherapy After Running LA Marathon

Cryotherapy is all the rage right now with celebrities.

What the treatment does is surrounds your entire body (or a specific spot) with extremely low temperatures to heal…and the latest celeb to try it out is Jordin Sparks, after she ran the Los Angeles Marathon.

“I’m smiling you just can’t tell,” she revealed on Instagram after her treatment. “Recovering like a boss.”

Jordin added, “It took me a few hours to walk without holding onto something today. I was nervous to get out of bed! Cryotherapy is much less torturous than an ice bath. But I feel so much better.”

Would you ever try out cryotherapy?

Jordin is also pictured below with Madeline Carroll and Francia Raisa at the Generosity.org Fundraiser For World Water Day 2017 in Los Angeles on Tuesday night (March 21).
