Thank you for letting me tell your story and thank you for never leaving me alone as I told it,” Justin shared. “Thank you for touching the hearts of every person on that set, for working your magic through our incredible cast, and for going through everybody around me to get to me when I wasn’t listening to what you were telling me. Justin Baldoni Signs Major Book Deal With Harper Collins, Releasing First Book In April

Justin Baldoni Signs Major Book Deal With Harper Collins, Releasing First Book In April

Justin Baldoni has signed a multi-book deal with publisher Harper Collins!

The 36-year-old Clouds director and actor has signed a major deal to write three books, with his first coming out in April 2021, Variety announced.

Justin‘s first title will be “Man Enough: Undefining My Masculinity,” which is based off of his 2017 TEDWomen Talk, “Why I’m Done Trying to Be Man Enough,” which explored redefining masculinity, embracing insecurities and debunking societal norms for those who identify as male.

According to Variety, “the book will explore Baldoni’s personal experience of “undefining” his masculinity, as he tackles difficult and uncomfortable topics, bringing readers on a journey of what it means to be a good man, and human being, in today’s world.”

“When I first began this journey of digging into my masculinity, I thought the work would be to redefine what it means to be a man. But through the process of writing this book, I realized that it’s not about redefining it, as much as it’s about undefining it,” he told the publication.

“I hope these words can be a source of unity that evokes empathetic and compassionate conversations around masculinity, while also inviting people to a deeper understanding of themselves and what it means to be human in the world we live in,” Justin said. “From the playground to movie sets, from classrooms to board rooms, I learned what it takes to be considered man enough in our world and this book is a — at times painfully — honest look into those messages and the journey I’m on to unlearn them; the journey I’m on to not just undefine my masculinity but to embrace my humanity.”

Clouds, which marks Justin‘s second directorial feature film, will premiere TOMORROW (October 16) on Disney+!

Sabrina Carpenter & Fin Argus Star In 'Clouds' Trailer - Watch Now!

Sabrina Carpenter and Fin Argus record a video together in the just released trailer for their new movie Clouds!

The two star as best friends in the film based off of the true story and book “Clouds: A Memoir” by Laura Sobiech.

Here’s a synopsis: Zach Sobiech (Argus) is a fun-loving high school student with raw musical talent living with osteosarcoma, a rare bone cancer. At the start of his senior year, he is ready to take on the world, however when he receives the news that the disease has spread, he and his best friend and songwriting partner, Sammy (Carpenter), decide to spend Zach’s limited time following their dreams.

With the help of Zach’s mentor and teacher, Mr. Weaver (Lil Rel Howery), Zach and Sammy are given the chance of a lifetime and are offered a record deal. Along with the support of the love of his life, Amy (Madison Iseman) and his parents, Rob and Laura (Tom Everett Scott and Neve Campbell); Zach embarks on an unforgettable journey about friendship, love and the power of music.

Justin Baldoni directed the movie, and recently opened up about releasing the trailer in the month of September, which is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

“It is really cool to be able to release the trailer,” Justin told ET, who first premiered the trailer, “and reintroduce people to the magic that was Zach.”

“We need to be reminded of the hope that exists in the world despite all the darkness and sadness, that life is temporary and we should not take it for granted,” he added. “That is our chance that we have every single day and that is how Zach lived, and I think this movie is more important now than ever.”

Clouds premieres on October 16th on Disney+!

Sabrina Carpenter‘s new movie Clouds is heading to Disney+!!

It was just announced that the new film will premiere on the streaming service this coming fall.

Clouds tells the true story of Zach Sobiech, a musically gifted 17-year old living with a rare bone cancer (osteosarcoma). The film follows Zach’s journey over the course of his senior year as he navigates the complexities of love, friendship, family and leaving behind a musical legacy.

The movie is based off of the memoir “Fly a Little Higher” by Laura Sobiech, Zach’s mother, and is directed by Justin Baldoni.

Fin Argus stars as Zach, Sabrina plays his best friend and bandmate Sammy, Madison Iseman is Zach’s girlfriend Amy, and Thomas Everett Scott and Neve Campbell play his parents, Laura and Rob.

“I fell in love with Zach’s infectious joy and spirit seven years ago when I made a short documentary about his life. Just before he passed, I made a promise to him that I would do whatever I could to make sure the world heard his music,” Justin said in a statement.

“In the age of COVID-19, with the future of the theatre business up in the air, it was extremely important to me to ensure Zach’s message of hope, faith and triumph in the face of adversity truly had the opportunity to touch as many hearts around the world as possible,” he continued. “That’s why I’m so excited to be partnering with Disney+ for my first film under our Wayfarer Studios banner, as it’s the perfect home and platform to bring Zach’s incredible story to the world.”
