Becky G Opens Up About Misconceptions About Her: 'I Care More Than Anything'

Becky G always tries to be an inspiration and a role model to her fans, and with that comes being honest about her frustrations.

The singer and actress took to Twitter today to talk about the lack of genuine connection in the music industry, and our society’s tendency to judge one another without knowing peoples’ truths.

“It’s so sad to me that people can’t be happy for others,” she wrote. “Genuineness is so hard to find. Especially in this industry.”

Becky then opened up about the public’s misconceptions about her and about other strangers in general.

“It’s a constant battle we fight behind closed doors that people don’t see,” she continued. “People battle different things everyday. People forget other people are PEOPLE. In this life we need to be more kind and honest. I’m not referring to the business. I’m referring to life. My path as a human being has never been and still isn’t easy.”

“People assume 1. I got money. 2. I must not be working hard enough because I don’t announce my every career move. 3. I don’t care,” Becky continued. “When really 1. Money doesn’t grow on trees & even then I have responsibilities I take care of like my family! 2. That need to take care of the ones I love is why I stay making moves even in the quiet. Because the hustle never stops. Ever. 3. I care more than anything. Which is why I’ve never stopped.”

“Many times people walk away. This is just a hobby for them. They can sleep.& they never have to sing a song ever again. But this is my LIFE.”
