MAX is going to be a dad!
The 28-year-old musician and his wife Emily announced that they are expecting their first baby – a little girl.
“My wife Emily brilliantly edited and put together this whole video to announce that we’re having a baby! We wanted to share this really special part of our lives with you all in a very personal way,” MAX wrote on YouTube. “The next chapter of our ‘Lights Down Low’ story. I can’t believe we’re gonna have a beautiful baby girl. I’ve always wanted to be a girl dad and I couldn’t be more proud to be one soon. Much love – MAX”
“When we got married we kept it secret for 7 months, but hiding a bump is a lot harder than hiding a ring. Something good that has come of this Corona season for the our little family!!! 🤰🏻🙆🏻♂️,” Emily shared on Instagram.
Max also shared his excitement in a new interview.
“I’m so excited,” he told People. “I think about it every day. I look at all of the other musician girl dads that I love, like Chance the Rapper and my friend, Andy Grammer … Lenny Kravitz! I’m like, ‘Lenny Kravitz created Zoë Kravitz. That’s so cool.’ They are the best father/daughter situation. I’ve been excited to be a girl dad my whole life, I feel. I’m excited to support her and empower her.”
“I’m definitely freaking out about potential boyfriends,” Max added. “I didn’t think I’d feel that way. But I just can’t wait to give her so much love and be there for her. I’m just the most ecstatic to be a girl dad.”
