Los Angeles Mayor Authorizes Power To Be Shut Off at Bryce Hall's House After Excessive Partying

The mayor of Los Angeles, Eric Garcetti, is sending a warning to influencers who keep partying amid the pandemic.

It was reported on Wednesday (August 19) that the mayor has authorized the city to disconnect the utility service at a home in the Hollywood Hills.

New York Times reporter Taylor Lorenz reports that it is indeed the home of Sway House members Bryce Hall, Blake Gray and Noah Beck.

“SCOOP: The power has been shut off at Bryce Hall’s Hollywood Hills home (the influencer who hosted a rager 21st b day party that went viral), according to sources. He lives there with two other huge TikTok stars, Noah Beck and Blake Gray. The water is still working,” Taylor wrote on Twitter.

“Important to note that the power has been shut the off at Bryce’s PERSONAL rental home in the hills. The home that Bryce’s actual 21st b day party was held at in Encino still has functioning utilities according to sources,” he added.

The mayor’s office released an official statement and the mayor also shared one on his Twitter account.

“Today I authorized the City to disconnect utility service at a house in the Hollywood Hills to stop the large parties held there in flagrant violation of our public health orders. Parties like these can quickly and easily spread the virus and put our communities at risk,” Garcetti wrote.

This comes just a few days after YouTuber and comedian Elijah Daniel tweeted out that he had spoke with the mayor’s office and their utilities would be shut off after Tuesday.

“i have way too much personal shit going on to deal with these attention seeking clowns risking lives for clout – im not talking about them anymore, im goin back on break for a bit, but spoke to the mayor’s office. good luck with no power or water after tuesday guys. ttyl,” Elijah wrote.

“just a warning for Sway & Hype, i don’t even give a fuck about y’all and I’m sure you’ll be told this but after your power and water gets shut off on Tuesday, if you continue to party they can and will try to charge you with domestic bioterrorism to make an example out of you,” he added.

Bryce, Blake and Noah have mocked Elijah‘s tweets by sharing TikTok and Instagram Story videos in their house on Tuesday (August 18), saying things like, “our lights keep flickering for some reason.”

Tyler Oakley has also been very vocal about influencers, mainly TikTok stars, who have continuously thrown large parties and not maintained social distancing or safety protocols.
