Disneyland & Walt Disney World To Require Masks Indoors Again As COVID Cases Rise

There’s a new (old) mask update at Disney Parks!

The parks made an update to their sites late Wednesday night announcing that starting on Friday (July 30), masks will be required indoors once again.

“Beginning July 30, face coverings are required for all Guests (ages 2 and up) while indoors, including on many attractions and in enclosed transportation vehicles, regardless of vaccination status. Face coverings remain optional for all Guests in outdoor common areas,” Disneyland states on their website.

Walt Disney World shared the same message, but switched “enclosed transportation vehicles” to “Disney buses, monorail and Disney Skyliner.”

The mask mandate applies to ALL guests, whether you are vaccinated or not, and applies to inside stores, restaurants, transportation and on indoor rides.

Both parks had removed basically all pandemic restrictions for fully vaccinated guests, taking away mask mandates, social distancing and more, even allowing more guests into the park, which of course led to higher wait times.

Reservations are also still required to enter a park, along with a valid ticket.

Earlier this summer, fireworks shows returned to Disney Parks shortly after they initially dropped mask mandates.
