'HSMTMTS' Cast Sing 1 Last 'High School Musical 2' Song - Watch 'You Are The Music In Me'

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series season two has sadly come to an end.

The Disney+ series premiered the final episode on Friday (July 30), and now the full season is available to binge watch… over… and over.

BUT, before the second season ended completely, fans were treated to a live jam session from the cast, singing one last track from High School Musical 2.

At the end of the episode, the screen goes blank, with a thank you message, reading, “Thank you to our incredible season 2 crew… And the fans who make this show possible.”

They then aired bloopers, and at the end, it goes back to the scene of the cast sitting in Slices after opening night. “Final Day of Shooting Season 2″ the screen reads.

As an alternate ending of sorts, Matt Cornett says a line as EJ, then hands Joshua Bassett a guitar and they start performing “You Are The Music In Me” live. Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens originally sang the song in High School Musical 2.

They kicked off the season with songs from HSM2 in the first episode - Joshua sang “Bet On It” and the cast did a medley of more songs, but that’s all we got. Some fans were hoping for Nini to sing “Gotta Go My Own Way.”

In case you missed it, watch every single musical number from season two of HSMTMTS.
