'Fantastic Beasts 3' Gets New 2022 Release Date!

The upcoming third Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them movie has just been given a brand new release date!

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore was originally supposed to start filming in July 2019, then the fall, then spring 2020 and be released this upcoming November, but of course, the pandemic had to delay those plans.

Now, the Harry Potter prequel movie is set to be released about six months after the original date, and will hit theaters on April 15th, according to Deadline.

The Fantastic Beasts series of course follows Magizoologist Newt Scamander, a collector and tamer of mystical beasts, who makes his way through the secret wizard communities of New York, Paris and London during the late 1920s.

The third film is reportedly set to take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

David Yates will return as director with stars Eddie Redmayne, Jude Law, Ezra Miller, Callum Turner, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Poppy Corby-Tuech, Jessica Williams, and Mads Mikkelsen, who replaces Johnny Depp as Gellert Grindelwald.
