Bria Danielle Singleton is heading to the big screen in Whitney Houston‘s long-awaited biopic I Wanna Dance With Somebody.

The 16-year-old Thunder Force actress portrays the music legend’s daughter Bobbi Kristina in the movie, which also stars the likes of Naoimi Ackie, Stanley Tucci, Ashton Sanders and Tamara Tunie.

Despite her young age, Bria has been carving out a name for herself in the industry for years. She got her start when she was only eight months old.

Since then she’s appeared in the likes of Fresh off the Boat, Better Things and Mariah Carey‘s All I Want for Christmas is You special. Her most recent role was in the Netflix movie Thunder Force alongside the likes of Melissa McCarthy and Octavia Spencer.

I Wanna Dance With Somebody premieres in theaters on December 23. Check out the trailer here.
