We are a month out since the live action The Little Mermaid debuted in theaters!
Over the past couple of weeks, Disney has been dropping video of some of the musical numbers in full online.
The new film features the classic songs “Part of Your World,” “Poor Unfortunate Souls” and “Kiss the Girl,” as well as a few new tunes, such as “The Scuttlebutt” and “Wild Uncharted Waters.”

There were quite a few celebrities not only in attendance at the WeHo Pride Celebration, but also IN the Pride parade!
Alexandra Shipp, Melissa McCarthy and Patrick Starrr were just a few of the stars riding down the parade route on Sunday (June 4) in West Hollywood, Calif.
Alexandra and her co-star Scott Evans were atop the Barbie float, repping their upcoming movie based on the Mattel toys.
Patrick rode down the route on his own ONE/SIZE float, and was fully decked out in a giant rainbow tulle boa.
The Little Mermaid‘s Melissa (Ally Icon) was on the Parade Icons, aka Grand Marshalls, alongside trans model Laith Ashley (Breakthrough Icon), Niecy Nash-Betts and wife Jessica Betts (Trailblazer Icons), and RuPaul’s Drag Race (Drag Icon), which had stars Symone, Gigi Goode, Crystal Methyd, June Jambalaya and Rock M Sakura in attendance to represent. Also in the parade were Real Housewives of Beverly Hills‘ Garcelle Beauvais and Sutton Stracke.

The Little Mermaid is out in theaters now and prior to it’s release, many have taken to social media to criticize a certain aspect – Melissa McCarthy‘s makeup for Ursula.
If you didn’t know, the original version of Ursula was inspired by the legendary late drag queen Divine, and since that is the source, many people have been disappointed with how Melissa‘s look ended up.
Following many online critiques, particularly on Twitter, the actress’ makeup artist on the film, Peter Swords King, is speaking out and reacting to the backlash.

Halle Bailey wears a blue, wavy dress while hitting the carpet at the premiere of her new movie The Little Mermaid held at State Theatre on Monday (May 22) in Sydney, Australia.
The 23-year-old entertainer was joined by co-star Melissa McCarthy and director Rob Marshall for the latest stop on their press tour.
Also stepping out for the event Down Under were Australian actors Keiynan Lonsdale and James Majoos, RuPaul’s Drag Race stars Courtney Act and Trinity the Tuck, and The Wiggles.

Disney has released the soundtrack for the upcoming live action reimagining of The Little Mermaid!
The new album of course features Halle Bailey and Melissa McCarthy singing the iconic songs “Part of Your World” and “Poor Unfortunate Souls,” but it also features new songs from Jonah Hauer-King, Daveed Diggs and Awkwafina, as well as a brand new song from Halle.
