Disney+ Reveals 'The Little Mermaid' Breaks Records on Streamer

Disney has just revealed some big news about The Little Mermaid!

The latest live action adaptation, starring Halle Bailey and Jonah Hauer-King, just debuted on Disney+ last Wednesday (September 6) and it has already broken records on the streamer.

In it’s first five days, The Little Mermaid has had 16 million views, becoming one of the most viewed Disney movie premieres ever on the streamer.

It also marks the biggest premiere since Hocus Pocus 2 nearly a year ago, which marked the biggest film premiere on Disney+.

Following it’s premiere in theaters this summer, the movie has raked in $570 million at the global box office, and is one of the top 10 highest grossing films of the year.
