The actor was set to play nemesis Firefly in the DC Comics film, before it got permanently shelved by parent company Warner Bros Discovery.

In a new interview, the 54-year-old actor opened up about calling star Leslie Grace after learning of the news, what he thought about her performance and what makes him sad about people not seeing the movie.

Sadie Sink is opening up about the controversy surrounding her latest movie The Whale.

The 20-year-old actress stars as Ellie, the estranged teenage daughter of Brendan Fraser‘s Charlie.

She describes her character as “twisted, but in a lot of pain,” and that “she is a good person but that’s the last thing she wants you to see. And she makes a point of being feared, essentially.”

The movie has received backlash for Brendan‘s weight gain and prosthetics, and Sadie shared her response to those critics in a new interview.

Sadie Sink Shares Sweet Moment with Brendan Fraser at 'The Whale' Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Sadie Sink and Brendan Fraser have a little embrace at the premiere of their movie The Whale held at the Royal Alexandra Theatre on Sunday (September 11) in Toronto, Ontario.

The two star as father and daughter in the upcoming movie, which is already garnering a lot of buzz and awards chatter.

Also attending the premiere during the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival was their co-star Ty Simpkins, director Darren Aronofsky and writer Samuel D Hunter.

If you missed it, Sadie and Brendan also premiered the movie the week before at the Venice Film Festival, where a six-minute standing ovation brought the actor to tears.

They reportedly received a five-minute ovation in Toronto.

Just a few days ago, Sadie joined Taylor Swift at another TIFF event for their “All Too Well” short film.

FYI: Sadie is wearing a Stella McCartney dress and Fred Leighton jewels.
