Renee Rapp has very strong feelings about her Mean Girls character Regina George and the character’s sexuality.
The 24-year-old actress and musician is playing the iconic mean girl and leader of The Plastics in the musical version of the movie.
During an interview, she explained that she thought Regina was “absolutely, absolutely gay.” Renee even revealed a character that she shipped her with!
Here’s the synopsis for the upcoming movie, based on the Broadway musical: “New student Cady Heron (Rice) is welcomed into the top of the social food chain by the elite group of popular girls called “The Plastics,” ruled by the conniving queen bee Regina George (Rapp) and her minions Gretchen (Wood) and Karen (Avantika). However, when Cady makes the major misstep of falling for Regina’s ex-boyfriend Aaron Samuels (Briney), she finds herself prey in Regina’s crosshairs. As Cady sets to take down the group’s apex predator with the help of her outcast friends Janis (Cravalho) and Damian (Spivey), she must learn how to stay true to herself while navigating the most cutthroat jungle of all: high school.”

Written by Tina Fey, the musical pulls inspiration from the classic movie that starred Lindsay Lohan, Amanda Seyfried and more young stars back in 2004.
This time around, the movie is also pulling from the Broadway musical inspired by the beloved original screenplay.

The co-stars met up while attending the Spotify celebration of their new social feature Jam at a house party hosted by Renee on Tuesday (September 26) in Los Angeles.
In addition to hosting, Renee also performed a set during the event, which also featured music by DJ Deleasa.
The new Mean Girls musical movie is so fetch that it’ll be heading to theaters instead of just premiering on Paramount+.
If you were unaware, the forthcoming movie is based on the original hit movie, which starred the likes of Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams, and the ensuing Broadway musical that it inspired.

The two actors reunited ahead of New York Fashion Week months after wrapping a movie musical together earlier this year.
Christopher is portraying hot jock Aaron Samuels, while Renee is reprising her Broadway role of Regina George.
While at the Rowing Blazers x Target event, the two were seen checking out the immersive experiences, including a game of chess, plus browsing the racks at the pop-up shop.
Renee is gearing up to head out on her Snow Hard Feelings Tour, which has sold more than 100,000 tickets already, according to Billboard!
The upcoming run of shows, which kicks off September 15th in Houston, Tex., is in support of her debut album Snow Angel, which came out just a few weeks ago.
