In his new interview with RAW, Karan admitted that he and on-screen bro/real life best friend Cameron used to “prank” other shows by just walking in on their sets.
“There’s been plenty of times where we’ve interrupted other people’s scenes, we’ve just walked in or something,” he shared.
Karan continued, “Sometimes we’d do that with our friend’s shows too, like Lab Rats was shooting right next door to us [Jessie]. We knew a lot of the crew and they were just like, ‘We’ll throw you guys in the background!’”
And what makes this hilariously amazing is that the other casts didn’t know at all!
“I don’t think the cast knew, so me and Cam were just two extras walking by and they were like, ‘What are y–what are you guys doing here?’ (laughs). So it’s nice that we can goof around too.”
We’re not sure if Karan and Cam actually made it on screen in the background of Lab Rats, but you can definitely search!
Karan Brar strikes a fierce pose in his new photo shoot for RAW!
Here’s what the Pacific Rim: Uprising actor had to share with our online publication:
Oh what he’d love to see happen with Ravi, his character onBunk’dandJessie, in the future: “I would love for him to be in a committed relationship actually! ‘Cause I really wonder… he seems to be in a relationship for an episode or something and it ends. I’d be interested to see if it sticks around; see what it would be like for Ravi and see if he actually grows up because he’s, you know, so youthful at the same time.”
On his acting inspirations growing up: “I grew up on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. One time, [Cole and Dylan Sprouse] visited set and I freaked out. I was like, ‘Asdfghj you were my childhood, you were amazing. Thank–you–for–everything.’ (laughs).”
The last time we saw Karan Brar in a movie, he was a super tiny thing in Diary of a Wimpy Kid!
Now, the 19-year-old actor is now starring in Pacific Rim: Uprising and talking all about how he faced those fight sequences and his hopes for the movie.
“I’m horribly uncoordinated,” he deadpans, before explaining how intimidating his scenes alongside Levi Meaden actually were in a new interview. “I didn’t have it, but it was still really fun. It was mentally challenging just as much as it was physically challenging.”
Not only was he intimidated by doing the fight scenes, being in such a large cast was as well.
“I was really intimidated with how talented everyone was,” Karan shared at the Los Angeles premiere this week. “After the table read, I was like ‘I have a run for my money. I gotta bring my game.”
Karan adds, “Everyone was amazing. This is what I’ve always wanted a film experience to be like, a bunch of people collaborating on something bigger than themselves.”
