Prepared to be immensely moved by Trevor Jackson‘s new music video for “Like I Do”.
The 19-year-old singer and actor released the video just shortly after the attacks in San Bernardino, Calif., and shared that the video was not a reaction to anger but rather, love.
“I feel like we sometimes let our emotions and anger get in the way,” Trevor shared. “Yeah, those [stories of shootings] upset me. Yeah, all those things I see make me angry. But I know everything that I do is going to be more powerful and touch more people in a positive way than if I go out there and cause havoc.”
The video is also a dedication to his cousin, Mark Cotton, who was shot and killed in November.
The 19-year-old actress/singer cleared up any and all rumors surrounding their relationship.
“My best guy friend, Trevor, I’ve known since I was 12. He’s not an industry kid; I don’t do industry kids. That vibe is just so weird because I feel like you want something from me. So he’s not that kid,” Zendaya told Complex.
She added, “Of course there’s dating rumors. Any male that I’ve ever been around in my life, if they follow me on Twitter, if they look at me, if they breathe the same air as me, we’ve dated. So yeah…Definitely squad, not bae.”
The series centers on K.C. Cooper (Zendaya), a high school math whiz who’s training to be an undercover super spy, following in the footsteps of her parents. Each episode finds the Coopers balancing typical family issues with performing undercover missions to protect the country.
