Leah Sava Jeffries has an exciting new role – she will be playing Annabeth Chase in the upcoming Percy Jackson and the Olympians series!
Fans are already excited to see the young actress in the role, and “Percy Jackson” author Rick Riordan is also praising her.
“Leah is exactly the way I imagined Annabeth in the books: smart, strong and courageous, a true daughter of Athena who has zero patience for the foolishness of a certain Seaweed Brain,” Rick shared on his website. “Watching her act with Walker and Aryan, I saw Annabeth Chase come to life. As soon as you see her on the screen, you will know what I mean. The Wise Girl has arrived!”

Empire fans may recognize Leah from her role as Lola on the hit Fox drama. She was the daughter of Olivia Lyon, Jamal’s ex wife, who claimed she was his daughter, but it turned out she wasn’t. She also starred in the comedy Rel on the same network.
Coming up, Leah will star in the movie Beast with Idris Elba, which “finds Elba on a trip to South Africa, only for he and his two teenage daughters to be hunted by a massive rogue lion intent on proving that the savanna has but one apex predator,” according to The Wrap. The movie is slated for an August 2022 release.
She will also be starring in the upcoming Prime Video movie Something From Tiffany’s, alongside Zoey Deutch, Kendrick Sampson and Shay Mitchell.
In the film, based on the novel by Melissa Hill, “a woman’s life is upended when an engagement ring meant for someone else leads her to the person she’s meant to be with,” reports Deadline.
