'Percy Jackson & The Olympians' Gets December Premiere Date, New Teaser Unveiled

It’s official, we DON’T have to wait until 2024 for the premiere of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians TV series!!!

Disney+ just revealed, on Percy Jackson’s birthday, that the upcoming adaptation from author Rick Riordan is set to debut THIS December, and a new teaser was also released.

The new series tells the fantastical story of a 12-year-old modern demigod, Percy Jackson, who’s just coming to terms with his newfound divine powers when the sky god, Zeus, accuses him of stealing his master lightning bolt. With help from his friends Grover and Annabeth, Percy must embark on an adventure of a lifetime to find it and restore order to Olympus.

Leading the cast are the young stars Walker Scobell as Percy Jackson, Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth Chase and Aryan Simhadri as Grover Underwood, and they’ll be joined by quite the cast of guest stars – Check out who else will be on the show!

Percy Jackson and the Olympians will have a two-episode premiere on Wednesday, December 20th on Disney+, followed by new episodes weekly.

Author Rick Riordan worked closely with the production to ensure an accurate adaptation was made. Previously, he teased we may not see it premiered until 2024, and we’re so excited that it’s coming THIS year!
