HBO Max Reveals What Comes Out in September 2022 - 'Elvis,' 'Vampire Diaries' & More!

HBO Max is unveiling the full list of titles that will hit it’s platform throughout the month of September 2022!

We are just a couple days away from the start of the month and there will be so many new additions hitting the streaming service starting this week.

Among those are the Austin Butler‘s movie Elvis, the Divergent series, and the return of Lana Condor and Cole Sprouse‘s Moonfall.

On the TV side, the Nancy Drew spinoff series Tom Swift will be added, all eight seasons of The Vampire Diaries and season five of Young Sheldon will also be added.

There will also be the new “Magnolia Network Spotlight Page” coming, integrating some of the content from Chip and Joanna Gaines‘ network from Discovery+.

HBO Max Is Removing 'genera+ion,' 'The Not Too Late Show With Elmo' & 35 More Titles

HBO Max is cleaning up it’s catalog!

Previously, it was revealed several movies were dropped from the streaming platform amid the upcoming merging of Max and Discovery+.

Also recently removed was LaurDIY‘s Craftopia and Rosanna Pansino‘s Baketopia.

Deadline has just revealed that 37 more TV shows and specials will also see the fate of being removed from the platform.

Most of the titles that are being announced are unscripted, animated and family/YA.

“As we work toward bringing our content catalogs together under one platform, we will be making changes to the content offering available on both HBO Max and discovery+. That will include the removal of some content from both platforms,” Warner Bros Discovery said. “At the same time, we’re already starting to bring our content catalogs together like the launch of the new CNN Originals Hub on discovery+ and a curated collection of Magnolia Network content coming soon to HBO Max.”

These HBO Max Shows Seemingly Safe Amid Warner Bros Discovery Layoffs & Cancelations

HBO Max is seeing it’s first round of layoffs amid the Warner Bros Discovery merger.

The streaming service will be combined with Discovery+ next year, and the company is making changes.

Previously, we’ve already seen shows get canceled, like Gordita Chronicles and Little Ellen, as well as movies Batgirl and Scoob: Holiday Haunt. Several movies have also been removed from the streamer.

Now, it’s being revealed which shows are seemingly safe and will continue on as planned amid the first round of layoffs.

The status of unscripted Max Originals are currently unknown.

'Moonshot,' 'The Witches' & More Movies Quietly Removed From HBO Max

HBO Max is continuing to turn heads after it was also revealed the streaming service quietly dropped a handful of movies.

The streaming service removed a few Max Original movies, or films specifically released only on HBO Max, in what seems like a cost-cutting move by parent company Warner Bros Discovery, Variety reports.

Among those wiped from the streamer include Lana Condor and Cole Sprouse‘s Moonshot, and Anne Hathaway and Octavia Spencer‘s The Witches remake.
