Hailee Steinfeld Has a New Song With The Cast of 'Sesame Street'

Hailee Steinfeld is visiting Sesame Street in an upcoming episode!

The 23-year-old actress and singer is one of the many celebs who are guest starring on the new 51st season, which just premiered on HBO Max today (November 12).

Maggie Rogers, Issa Rae, Stephen and Ayesha Curry, Billy Porter, and Kelsea Ballerini will all make visits on the long-running show.

The new season also marks the beginning of a two-year curriculum focused on playful problem-solving, designed to build critical thinking skills in young children and better equip them to handle challenges in school and beyond.

As Sesame Street Muppets, human cast members, and guest stars alike face obstacles, they approach these problems with curiosity, creativity, and perseverance, together using the new mantra: “I wonder…?; What if…?; Let’s try!”.

Hailee‘s episode will premiere on November 26th, and she’ll join Elmo and friends as she sings the season’s new anthem, “I Wonder, What If, Let’s Try.” Check out the song right here!

Sesame Street's 'Despacito' Parody is Everything You Need Right Now (Video)

Sesame Street has dropped a “Despacito” parody video, “El Patito,” and it’s kind of amazing.

In the clip, Ernie sings about his rubber duckie with lines like, “Rubber Duckie, it is a connection/ It doesn’t have to be a tubby session, ya/ Take my day from zero to 11, ya.”

Bert (“Oh no, not this song again”) and Rosita join him in tackling Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee‘s hit track.

The Spanish-language chorus then follows: “Oh, el patito, es mi favorito/ Donde quiera que vaya hace su sonido/ El patito es tu buen amigo/ El patito.”

'Sesame Street' Introduces New Character with Autism

'Sesame Street' Introduces New Character with Autism

Sesame Street is continuing its trend of groundbreaking TV – the show is introducing a character with autism.

The four-year-old character, named Julia, will be introduced next month!

Jeanette Betancourt, Sesame Workshop’s senior vice president of U.S. Social Impact, spoke about the addition to the popular children’s show.

“In the U.S., one in 68 children is diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder,” Jeanette said (via the Chicago Tribune). “We wanted to promote a better understanding and reduce the stigma often found around these children. We’re modeling the way both children and adults can look at autism from a strength-based perspective: finding things that all children share….Just as we look at all children as being unique, we should do the same thing when we’re looking at children with autism.”

The first episode to introduce Julie – titled “Meet Julia,” airs Monday, April 10 on HBO.
