The musical series, from executive producer Kenny Ortega, debuted on Netflix September 10, 2020 and the show’s passionate fandom, aka the Fantoms, still show it so much love each and every day on social media.
Newcomer Madison Reyes was cast in the leading role of Julie Molina, and she took to Twitter to briefly acknowledge the three year anniversary and to thank fans for their support over the past few years.

The Julie and the Phantoms co-stars turned real life besties joined producer Kenny Ortega and choreographer Paul Becker for a day out in the South American city.
A few days before, they were all in attendance at Dream It Con in São Paulo, alongside co-stars Madison Reyes, Jadah Marie and Sacha Carlson.
While there, they actually met up with the stars of the original series, Julie e os Fantasmas, Fabio Rabello, Mariana Lessa, Bruno Sigrist and Marcelo Ferrari.

There are no plans for a second season of Julie and the Phantoms, despite fans push for it to be resurrected.
The Netflix series ran for one season, released in September 2020, before being canceled over a year later.
Since, fans have been petitioning for the streamer to reconsider, or for another platform to pick it up.
They even bought marquee billboards across the world, garnering the attention of executive producer, choreographer and director Kenny Ortega, who thanked the fans last week.
Now, in a new interview, Kenny is addressing the current plans of the show.

The renowned director, choreographer and executive producer of the Netflix show took to Instagram to show his appreciation to the “Save Julie and the Phantoms” movement that has been going on since the show was officially canceled back in December.

The 2021 Imagen Awards winners have been revealed!
The annual award show recognizes and encourages the entertainment industry to portray the Latino community in a positive and accurate manner.
Past winners and honorees include Lin-Manuel Miranda, Marcel Ruiz, Elena of Avalor, Bella Thorne, Selena Gomez, Dora the Explorer and many more.
This year, the winners included Love, Victor and Julie and the Phantoms, which both picked up awards for the show and for leading actors.
