Alice Oseman Teases Future 'Heartstopper' Seasons, Knows How Book Series Will End

Alice Oseman is teasing the future of their Netflix series Heartstopper!

The author of the book series and creator of the fan-favorite show is opening up about the future of both the books and the TV series.

While talking with Attitude magazine as their Person of the Year, Alice dished on Tobie Donovan‘s character Isaac and seeing more of him in future seasons.

Find out what they shared…

When asked about the response to Isaac and if we’d see more of him, Alice replied, “Definitely. I think Isaac has a lot more to him than we’ve seen already, and I’m really looking forward to seeing more of his story and for everyone to see more of his tory in future seasons.”

As for how the book series will end, Alice has known “for ages exactly how Heartstopper is going to end.”

“It’s been really helpful to have that end point for me to kind of build towards. I’m not going to spoil anything, but I mean, it’s a happy ending,” they added. “I feel like everyone knows that.”

Alice also responds to criticism, saying, “I have learned to shut out a lot of criticism. Heartstopper is about two characters I care about so deeply. I didn’t write it with an agenda. I wanted to tell a story, and it blew up.”

“You’re never going to please everyone, and if people are mad about it, you don’t have to read Heartstopper!” they added.

We are currently waiting on season two of Heartstopper to get released on Netflix, with the premiere date still unknown. Filming has already wrapped so it’s only a matter of time!

There will then also be a subsequent third season as the streaming service ordered two more seasons after the first one debuted.

Alice has also previously teased what to expect in future seasons of the show, including a teacher romance.
